Nature based Therapy
As someone who loves to be in nature and outside I can appreciate the wonders and therapeutic advantages of working with people in nature.
Working in nature may suit people who are more physical, nature lovers and animal lovers or those who don’t want to be sat in a room looking across at their therapist, but prefer to be walking side by side whilst talking.
This can bring about a deeper sense of self expression because of the movement in the body and the environment. Movement whilst talking may also allow the person to more readily access their emotions and feelings. We will literally go on a journey together, physically as well as emotionally and this can be profound and enlightening as well as being able to shift those feelings of “stickiness” or “stuckness”
How does it work?
I usually work with clients in Cockington Country park or near and around Babbacombe and Oddicombe beaches and Walls Hill Downs at Babbacombe but if you would like to go somewhere that is familiar to you please do speak to me about it.
My safety and your safety are of the upmost importance and I always take this into consideration before going somewhere that I have not been before.
