About Me
I’m Helen Hoyte, a counsellor, coach, and tutor who combines different therapeutic approaches to create personalised support for every client.
I have blended my training, expertise, and knowledge to create a unique fusion therapy approach, always keeping my clients’ needs at the heart of my practice.
I support people through life’s transitions and challenges, helping them understand how their story shapes them and discover their potential.
Outside of my professional work, I’m passionate about expressive arts and escapism — whether through writing, storytelling, theatre, or cinema.
I also love learning, yoga, mindfulness, running, cooking, and spending time with my family.
Adventure, imagination, and exploration are important parts of my life, and my son often calls me “a particularly curious person.”
Being in nature, whether walking my dogs in the woods or being by the sea, is grounding, freeing, and essential to my own wellbeing.
My Work
Many paths have shaped my journey into this work. In my twenties, I trained as a fitness instructor, teaching in my spare time while working as a civil servant for 10 years.
I later followed my passion for holistic wellbeing, training as an aromatherapist in 2009, and over the last 15 years have expanded my skills in complementary therapies, coaching, counselling, and teaching.
My interest in Eastern medicine and mindfulness-based practices aligns with my belief in the profound connection between mind, body, and spirit — and in our innate ability to heal and grow when the right conditions are present.

I also bring lived experience to my work. I have faced trauma, self-doubt, low self-worth, shame, anxiety, and depression.
I have personal and family experience with Autism and ADHD, and I understand both the challenges these can bring and the strengths they hold.
These experiences help me to offer an empathic, safe, and compassionate space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported.
I believe that dreams, goals, and ambitions are a natural part of being human — and that to create the life we want, we must first feel worthy of it.
My role is to help you find that sense of worth, clarity, and direction, so you can move forward with confidence.
