Embodied, Somatic & Mindfulness Support

Alongside counselling and coaching, I also offer embodied, somatic, and mindfulness-informed support — helping clients connect with their bodies as a way of grounding, regulating emotions, and developing a deeper sense of safety, resilience, and self-trust.

For many people, words alone are not always enough. The nervous system and body often hold patterns, responses, and protective strategies that sit beneath conscious awareness.

Embodied and somatic approaches can gently support this layer, helping to build awareness, flexibility, and a felt sense of stability.

This work is always paced, collaborative, and responsive to the individual.

How I Work

My approach is bespoke and relational. I do not offer set programmes, generic classes, or one-size-fits-all practices.

Embodied and somatic work is shaped around:

  1. your needs and therapeutic goals
  2. your nervous system and current capacity
  3. your physical body and any limitations
  4. what is happening emotionally and psychologically

Sessions may include gentle movement, grounding postures, breath awareness, mindfulness practices, vagal nerve toning exercises, and other nervous-system regulation techniques drawn from trauma-informed and somatic approaches.

Everything is offered as an invitation, never an expectation.

You remain in control of what you choose to engage with at all times.

Optional Integrative Approaches

Where appropriate and by mutual agreement, clients may also choose to incorporate additional integrative approaches into their sessions, including:

  1. Vagal nerve toning exercises to support nervous system regulation
  2. Indian Head Massage (typically offered as a short, contained element within a session)
  3. Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

These are not standalone treatments and are always offered within a therapeutic or coaching context, based on individual needs, preferences, and consent.

What This Is — and What It Isn’t

This way of working is:

  1. trauma-informed and consent-based
  2. grounded in nervous system regulation
  3. responsive to you as a whole person
  4. integrated into counselling or coaching work

This way of working is not:

  1. a fitness-based or exercise-focused yoga class
  2. a drop-in or group offering
  3. a rigid or prescriptive approach
  4. about fixing, forcing, or pushing change
  5. The intention is to support safety, awareness, and integration — not performance.

Structure & Fees

Embodied, somatic, and mindfulness-informed work can be added to a regular counselling or coaching session where appropriate.

Sessions are charged at my standard hourly rate.

For example:

One hour of counselling or coaching

plus one hour of embodied or somatic practice (which may include mindfulness, movement, vagal nerve toning, Indian Head Massage, or EFT)

Total cost: £160

Please discuss your needs and requirements with me so we can decide together what feels most appropriate and supportive.

A Gentle Note

This work reflects my belief that sustainable change happens when the mind and body are supported together.

For many people, developing a felt sense of grounding and internal safety can make boundaries clearer, emotions more manageable, and life feel more spacious.

There is no requirement to engage with embodied or somatic work.

It is simply another option that may be available to you.
